Organizers marching with protest signs

Organizers hiring organizers.

New Working Majority recruits staff for organizations working on racial, economic and gender justice. We designed and built their website.

Visit the site

A recruiting firm that has to speak to two audiences at once.

New Working Majority finds staff for unions, advocacy groups and nonprofits. Their website has to convince an executive director to trust them with a search, and convince a job seeker that the roles are worth applying for. Those are two different conversations, and most recruiting sites only manage one.

The New Working Majority homepage

Built for the movement it serves

The homepage leads with their own words, “Organizers hiring organizers,” and open roles sit right below, sorted by the kind of work. Organizations get a clear path to their services, from hiring and recruitment to narrative strategy and digital ads.

The design pulls from protest posters more than corporate recruiting: bold type, deep purple and photographs of people in the street. Nobody looking for an organizing job wants to feel like they wandered into a staffing agency.

The Hack the Movement newsletter

A newsletter with its own home

Their newsletter, Hack the Movement, lives on the site as a full archive, so every issue keeps working long after it lands in an inbox.
